The narrative structure of this film is so interesting. It is presented in a series of independent, but inter-connected stories. It's truly great. Its nonlinear storyline is also great, as it builds suspense for the climax at the end of the film. Even without the unique narrative structure, the writing would still be phenomenal. The dialogue is amazing. It blends homage to the genre which the film replicates with Tarantino's signature wit and dark comedy. This film also poses a lot of ethical and theological questions that are really interesting to think about. It is just an extremely well-written film.
The acting of the film is amazing. John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson command the screen during all of their segments. Their chemistry is really great. Uma Thurman is also very good in her role, bringing a fittingly unsettling feel to the character. Sing Rhames and Harvey Keitel also deliver extremely good supporting performances, both of which are extremely intimidating and funny at the same time.
The technical aspects of the film are also great. The cinematography is amazing. The motion is fluid and impressive. There are a lot of shots that add meaning to the film. The production design is also really good, with a lot of detail used to support the plot.
So overall, I love "Pulp Fiction". It's a great film and is in my top 20 films of all time. I highly recommend it if you think that you won't be offended easily.
