I'm not 100% sure what I think about this, even about 2 hours after watching it, but my thoughts would have to be that it is a bizarre, but beautiful exploration of one man's mind. I thought that the simple animation would be distracting, but I actually really liked it. There were some parts that were a bit too bizarre for my tastes, but that's okay.
This should really be a message to people, especially aspiring filmmakers, that if you have a good story, with a bit of work, you can tell it. The animation is rather simple, but when there were multiple things going on within the frame, it really interested me because it really brought me into the mind of Bill.
All in all, "It's Such a Beautiful Day" is an artistic and creative, but bizarre piece. If you are into artistic animated films, this is definitely something you should check out. It is also really short too, clocking in at just over an hour.
