The film's premise could have provided for a lot of great commentary. It could have discussed the newfound reliance of humans on online shopping, or it could have discussed the complex family dynamics of modern society. It briefly hinted upon these topics, but not nearly to the extent which they could have, while still being able to appeal to its target younger audience. Members of the younger audience will likely find enjoyment in the many gags of the film, but I ended up finding few to be funny. In fact, the funniest parts of the film were featured in the trailers. The secondary characters are very underdeveloped, and some are just plain annoying, like Pigeon Toady. The animation was the best part of the film, as it is detailed and visually appealing.
So overall, "Storks" wasn't a horrible film, but it wasn't great either. It's not a waste of your time, but it's not something that you need to rush out to see.
