"Superbad" had been on my radar for a while, so while scanning Netflix, I finally decided to watch it. Ultimately, I found it to be one of the funnier Rogen-Goldberg comedies.
The plot of the film is pretty simple, but it is the situations that the characters find themselves in that makes it so good. The sense of humor is dark, but funny, especially that involving law enforcement. Rogen, Hader, and Mintz-Plasse were definitely my favorite part of the film because of how funny their interactions were. The characters aren't super well-developed, but in terms of a party movie, it is on the higher end of the spectrum.
The execution of the film is also solid. It definitely feels like it is paying homage to the genre of high school/college party comedies. From the opening credits, you can see the visual style, and it is very distinct.
Overall, I really enjoyed "Superbad". It's a simple, but funny movie.
