The plot was extremely clichéd. and there were many moments where I thought, "Really? Why did you need to do that?" because a plot twist was ridiculously stereotypical (the gummy bears). The film tried its best to explain the mythology of the film, but it did often fall flat, making it confusing at times.
Vin Diesel was spot-on and extremely enjoyable to watch in his role. Michael Caine and Elijah Wood were also good in their roles, however they had much smaller parts and were underused.
The visual effects were mostly pretty good, however there were a couple of scenes that looked excessively bad. The Witch Queen's voice had a weird, multi-layered drag thing that annoyed me.
So overall, this was a decently good time, however it was definitely not a great film. It also had a feeling that it went on for too long. You don't really need to rush out to see this one.
