The plot of the film is absolutely ridiculous, but it is also really hilarious. It moves along at a funny, quick pace, filled with pop-culture jokes and film references, much like many of Kevin Smith's other films. The film ends up feeling a lot like a more teen-friendly version of "Clerks". It relies a lot on the chemistry of the two leads, who are both hilarious and believable. Ralph Garman is hilarious in a supporting role, as is Kevin Smith.
That being said, the film is still extremely flawed. The visual effects for the Bratzis' deaths are extremely cartoonish, possibly for comedic relief, but likely not. The subplot involving Hunter and Gordon also feels like it splits a bit from the theme of the film, giving it a feeling of having a bit too much crammed in during that time. Johnny Depp's costume also provides for many of the most notable continuity errors in the film.
So overall, I found "Yoga Hosers" to be hilarious, and while I do acknowledge that it wasn't very well-made, I thought that the writing was pretty good, with lots of funny jokes and irony. Not everyone will love it, but fans of Smith's more lighthearted films, like "Mallrats", will probably fins it funny.
