I saw both the first and second Kung Fu Panda movies while they were in theaters. I enjoyed them both, but out of the two, I think that the first was more well-made and the second was more enjoyable. Now, I think that "Kung Fu Panda 3" is my favorite entry into the series.
"Kung Fu Panda 3" was the blend of enjoyable and well-made aspects from both of the original. The humor was really funny sometimes, and the animation was absolutely gorgeous, especially during the scenes set in the spirit realm. The voice acting was great. Jack Black was hilarious, Bryan Cranston was great, and J.K. Simmons brought a ridiculously ominous tone to his character, which was perfect.
The only real issue that I can find with the film was that it was ridiculously predictable, however I don't really mind that because of the fact that it is a children's movie, and children's movies are often predictable. Other than the predictability though, the film moved along at a good pace, and the comedy was blended very smoothly with the martial arts action plot. One thing that I really did like about the plot is the "Jombies", which seem like a manifestation of Larfleeze and the Orange Lantern Corps. from the Green Lantern comics, which are some of my favorite comic book villains of all time.
Overall, I think that anyone who was a fan of the original two movies, or has younger kids should definitely check out this movie. It truly has something for everyone in it.

I look at films as if through old red and blue 3D glasses— one lens is as art, one lens is as entertainment.
