Finally we finished with the prequels and were able to move on to the much better original series. Even though this is definitely the worst of the original series, it is a vast improvement over any one of the prequels.
The actors had found a groove by this movie. Harrison Ford was great as Han, and Mark Hamill was no longer as cheesy as he was in previous entries as Luke. James Earl Jones is (obviously) fantastic as Darth Vader. If only we didn't have the remastered version with Hayden Christensen as Anakin in ghost form. Egh.
The cinematography is good, and the special effects had gotten better over the course of the trilogy. The writing is good, with the sister twist possibly being one of the best cinematic story twists in film history. The biggest complaint many fans have about the film is about the Ewoks, which are a bit out of place, but not quite as bad as other people say. One can only wonder what it would be if they were Wookies as intended.
Overall, this is much better than some of the others in the series and is definitely a must for anyone who has not already seen it.

I look at films as if through old red and blue 3D glasses— one lens is as art, one lens is as entertainment.
